The Sushant Singh Rajput case has become a bone of contention between the Mumbai and Bihar Police with each trying to get one-upmanship. While the Mumbai Police was still investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case, Bihar Police also entered the scene after the late actor’s father filed a case in Patna against his rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakravorty.
With full media attention into the case, that rattled the whole of Bollywood raking up issues like nepotism, the center in the meanwhile has accepted Bihar Government’s plea to hand over the case to the CBI. Hence, with the entry of the CBI, the plot thickens.
With different claims made by the Police of the two states, is the CBI going to bring out a new angle to the case?
Last week, IPS officer of Bihar police, Vinay Tiwari landed in Mumbai in connection with the case. But, in a shocking move, he was shifted to institutional quarantine by the BMC. This raised quite a few questions about the intentions of the Mumbai Police.
Now, the CBI is likely to re-register an FIR filed by the Bihar Police against Rhea Chakraborty.
The CBI is likely to re-register the case (filed by the Bihar Police), related to sections of breach of trust, abetment to suicide, and cheating. The FIR Sushant’s father KK Singh registered in Patna led to Rhea Chakraborty booked for unlawful confinement and abetment of suicide.
Now, the CBI officials are expected to visit Patna and pick case files and other material from the Bihar police. it is likely that Rhea Chakraborty might be summoned again for interrogation. However, prior to that, it is learned, the CBI reportedly mulls to collect all the documents and then take the next step in this highly controversial probe fraught with twists and turns.
All these days, there has been a clamor for handing over the case to the CBI by Sushant’s fans, and now with that finally happening, people are eager to know whether all the conflicting claims of both the Mumbai and Bihar Police are put to rest.
