TRS alleges BJP trying to distribute money, BJP says TRS treating opposition like thieves

TRS alleges BJP trying to distribute money,

Police seized Rs 18.67 lakh in cash from Raghunandan Rao’s relative’s house in Siddipet town before the Dubbak assembly by-election. On this, the leader of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Krishak said on Tuesday that the BJP is afraid of defeat, hence the party is trying to distribute the money.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader, Krishnak said, “Whenever the Bharatiya Janata Party feels that it is going to lose, they try to create violence, sabotage and even corruption. Similar work was done by BJP candidate and Dubbak yesterday also. BJP state president was also involved.”

He further said that it was clear that the money seized by the police was with a relative of Raghunandan Rao and the followers of BJP snatched the seized money. If it was not a relative of Raghunandan Rao, then why was the money snatched away by the followers of the BJP? Why were the followers of BJP present there? Why was the BJP worker present there?

It is to be noted that The Siddipet police had allegedly seized Rs 18.67 lakh, at the house of a relative of BJP candidate Raghunandan Rao. However, later the police alleged that BJP supporters had assaulted two policemen who were carrying out searches and fled with Rs 5.81 lakh of the Rs 18.67 lakh seized from the house of Surabhi Anjan Rao, Raghunandan Rao’s brother-in-law.

Police Commissioner Joel Davis in his official statement said, “In Surabhi Anjan Rao’s house, Rs 18.67 lakh was found. He claimed his brother-in-law Jithender Rao had sent the money to him. When the money was being brought out, around 20-30 members entered the compound and snatched away around 5.81 lakhs. We have video evidence and based on that identification and legal action will follow.”

A video, that has gone viral, shows a policeman holding a bag filled with cash when a group of BJP workers converge on him and force him to show what’s in it. When policemen resist the efforts of the mob to lay hands on the bag, they are assaulted, and two of the assaulters display a wad of cash from the bag and shout “It’s money and run away with it.

TRS leader, Krishnak also pointed out that Rs 40 lakh was seized from Raghunandan Rao, BJP candidate from Dubbak earlier. Later he was caught red-handed distributing saris and now Rs 18 lakh. It is quite clear that the BJP is afraid of defeat and they are trying to divide the money and also build this culture. They want to show that there is violence or disturbances of law and order in Telangana and they are demanding Governor’s rule on these lines. On the other hand, BJP supporters alleged that the money was planted by Police at Anjan Rao’s house to implicate him. While N Raghunandan Rao,said the ruling TRS was treating opposition leaders as thieves. He said TRS was scared of a defeat and is creating hurdles for BJP.
