Sukhbir Badal criticises former ally amid farm law protests, says BJP real ‘tukde tukde’ gang

Sukhbir Badal criticises former ally amid farm law protests, says BJP real tukde tukde gang

The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal, who recently quit the NDA government over new agricultural laws, launched a scathing attack on the BJP on Tuesday. On Tuesday, he said that the BJP is the real ‘tukde-tukde gang’ in the country. He further added that the BJP shamelessly provoked the Hindus against the Muslims and now they are inciting peace-loving Punjabi hindus against sikhs especially farmers.

Sukhbir Singh has shared a video on his Twitter account, in which he is seen attacking the BJP fiercely. With the video he wrote in the caption, “The BJP is the real tukde tukde gang in the country,” Badal tweeted. “It has smashed national unity to pieces, shamelessly inciting Hindus against Muslims & now desperate setting peace loving Punjabi Hindus against their Sikh brethren especially farmers. They’re pushing patriotic Punjab into communal flames,” his tweet added.

Badal said that the BJP should abandon the ‘arrogant attitude’ on agricultural laws and accept the farmers’ words. He also asked the BJP to refrain from turning Hindus against Sikhs. He said that if someone speaks in favour of the central government, he is called ‘Desh Bhakta’ and if he speaks against him, he is called a ‘tukde tukde gang’.

Recently, Sukhbir Singh Badal had shown aggressive attitude towards rumours of Khalistan’s presence in the movement. He had said that many old women are also involved in this movement. Does she look Khalistani? Is this any way to address the farmers of the country? This is an insult to the farmers.

Badal said that how dare they call our farmers traitors? Who gave the BJP or anyone else the right to call farmers as traitors? The farmers have dedicated their entire lives for the country and you are calling them traitors? Those who are calling them traitors, they themselves are traitors.

Even during the centenary celebrations of the Shiromani Akali Dal, Sukhbir Badal targeted the BJP government fiercely. During this, Sukhbir accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he has tried to break the federal structure by implementing agricultural laws. Ge added the laws of the farmers are under the authority of the states. Anti-farmer laws are being imposed by breaking the rights of the states. Modi government wants to de-empower the states by centralizing power. Sukhbir alleged that the policies of the Modi government are going to break the brotherhood of the country.

Sukhbir Badal, referring to the resignation of his wife Harsimrat Kaur Badal, asked whether she had become a traitor by resigning from the Center. Did SAD become a traitor by breaking political ties with the BJP? Former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has become a traitor by returning Padma Vibhushan.

It is to be noted that the agricultural laws are being opposed by the Badal family. Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned from the post of Union Minister and described the new laws of the Center as a big fraud with the farmers. Not only this, The Shiromani Akali Dal, one of BJP’s oldest ally, had quit the National Democratic Alliance in September amid sharp difference with the saffron party over the farm laws. Earlier this month, former Punjab Chief Minister and senior Akali Dal leader Prakash Singh Badal have returned his Padma Vibhushan honour in protest against agricultural laws. Apart from him, Akali Dal leader Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa had just said to return his Padma Bhushan honour.
