RaosahebDanve: Congress is purposely misleading citizens on farm bills

: Congress is purposely misleading citizens on farm bills

Union Minister RaosahebDanve has stated that Congress is purposely misleading citizens on the farm bills. While stating that they are not trying to ensure that the state government collapses he also said that this is an Amar Akbar Anthony government which might collapse on their own. Furthermore, he said that the BJP would continue to play the role of a “strong” opposition party in the state. Danve also justified the steps taken at Hathras and claimed that the entry was blocked just so that the inquiry would not be affected.

Amid heavy criticism and protest against the farm bills, BJP has now started creating awareness about the farm bills. Leaders of the BJP are to create awareness about the farm bills. As a part of the move Union Minister for food, public distribution and consumer affairs RaosahebDanve was in Pune and tries to explain the benefits of the farm bills.

Danve said that compared to various measures being taken by the Narendra Modi government for farmers Congress has failed to do anything for the farmers. Danve said, “In the current budget, an allocation of Rs one lakh crore has been made for the agriculture sector and a total benefit of Rs 93,000 crore has been given to 10 crore farmers under the ‘Kisan Samman Yojana’.”

He said that it is the Modi government that implemented the Swaminathan Commission recommendations. He said that the BJP government has increased the minimum support price (MSP) for food grains in the country.

He said, “In the last six years, Prime Minister Modi has taken many decisions in the interest of farmers, but the Congress and its allies are not digesting this and thus spreading confusion about the agricultural law.”

“Farmers’ goods will be sold at a minimum base price. Market committees will not be terminated. This law will not harm the farmers. It will benefit from increased competition. Opponents are making false allegations. It is our job to erase it. We are not afraid of opponents. They are trying to spread misconceptions about us, “Danve added.

Also, “Maharashtra has a government of Amar, Akbar and Anthony. It will get stuck in the legs. But we will not overthrow the government, “he told the Maha Vikas Aghadi government.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had said, “Onion exports have to be restricted due to the existence of the Essential Commodities Act. We will give Rs 50,000 per acre to the affected farmers.” Danve also demanded that it should be given to the farmers of Marathwada now.

When asked about the alleged gang rape and death of a Dalit woman in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, the minister said it was an “unfortunate” incident. In response to a question, Danve said that after completion of the investigation, people were allowed to visit the village of Hathras victim.

He said, “Even Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi visited the village and no restrictions were imposed.” Asked whether incidents like Hathras, agricultural legislation and Sushant Singh Rajput case has tarnished  BJP’s image, the minister replied in the negative.

“Our image has not been affected by the Sushant Singh case. The CBI is investigating the case. One can comment only after the agency’s investigation is completed,” he said. Significantly, a medical panel of AIIMS in its report submitted to the CBI recently rejected the aspect of murder in the case of actor’s death.
