Although the recovery rate in the state is 75 percent, which is very good, Haryana home, health and urban local bodies minister Anil Vij said on Saturday that if there arises a situation “we would seal the borders of state again.”
“Our priority is to cure and treat as many cases as we are recording and our health teams are successfully treating patients. Wherever cases are increasing, they are in the districts along the Delhi-NCR region and about 80% cases are in Delhi regions,” he said in a media interaction at his residence in Ambala. In the interest of the state and to thwart coronavirus, the government will not shy away in imposing lockdown once again in the state or seal the borders with Delhi-NCR, he said.
Offices in Gurgaon are slowly opening up and workers from Delhi and NCR are commuting regularly to the city. However, rising cases in Delhi NCR and a corresponding rise in the districts adjacent to the capital is making Haryana jittery as the state fights to contain COVID-19 pandemic. Vij said that the state is ready to take any step so that the coronavirus situation doesn’t exacerbate and go out of control.
