Senior Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader and Minister of State for Consumer Affairs at the Center, RaosahebDanve Patil has made a big prediction about the politics of Maharashtra. Raosaheb Patil Danve has claimed that the BJP will form government in Maharashtra in the next two-three months.
Addressing BJP workers at an election campaign for Aurangabad Graduation Constituency in Parbhani City, BJP leader Raosaheb Patil Danve said that the party cadre should not think they cannot form a government in the state of Maharashtra. “I will tell you clearly. In the coming two to three months, our government is being formed in Maharashtra and you should remember that,” Danve said.
RaosahebDanve did not disclose his plan much. He told the BJP workers “I will not tell you how we will form the government. I will tell them [Maha Vikas Aghadi government] after it happens. We are only waiting for existing elections to get over.” Raosaheb further added that they were just waiting for the current election to end.
Encouraging the BJP workers, he said: “our workers should fight the elections of the Graduate Constituency in the Legislative Council with full force, and should think that our only government is going to be formed in Maharashtra in the coming few months.”
“Our candidate should win in these elections, BJP should have a majority in the Legislative Council,” added Danve.
The Union Minister said, “all three rivals parties are in the field against BJP but they have absolutely no confidence in each other.”
The BJP has fielded Shirish Boralkar as its candidate from the Aurangabad graduate constituency.
Interestingly, Danve’s remarks are considered very special as it came on the same day Devendra Fadnavis took oath as chief minister of Maharashtra alongside AjitPawar of the NCP in 2019. However, this government could only run for 80 hours. Later both the leaders had to resign from their posts.
On the other hand, former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Monday that if the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government falls, the oath-taking ceremony of the new government replacing it will not be held at dawn as it was a year ago.
At the same time, Shiv Sena attacked this statement in Mumbai. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut referring to Fadnavi’s statement said, “Such dawn will never come in Maharashtra. Maha Vikas Aghadi will continue to hold power even after the next assembly election. The BJP will not see the rays of power for the next four years. We will also win the next assembly election.”
It is to be noted that earlier on November 11, exactly one day after the results of Bihar elections, State BJP President Chandrakant Patil had said that the Thackeray government of the state will not run even for four years. Since then, there has been speculation whether Uddhav Thackeray government’s countdown to Maharashtra has started.
There is a buzz in the political corridor of the state that ‘Operation Lotus’ may start in Maharashtra soon. It may lead to a change in power in the state. However, there is currently no movement in Maharashtra regarding this. But this discussion has been reinforced once again by the statement of State BJP President Chandrakant Patil. At the same time, Shiv Sena leader and state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anil Parab has said that where there is talk of running Operation Lotus for the change of power in the state, then Shiv Sena is no less. On the same lines, Operation Dhanush-Baan can also be started in the state because no one can stop anyone.
