BJP president says Hemant Soren govt steeped in corruption

Jagat Prakash Nadda

BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda launched a scathing attack on the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand on Monday. He said that Hemant Sarkar is indulging in corruption and has nothing to do with development. BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda on Monday alleged that Naxalism and extremism have started spreading in the state once again and the law and order situation has completely crumbled.

Addressing the Jharkhand Pradesh BJP executive in a video conference, Nadda called the state government a sign of weakness and appeasement and alleged that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) government is indulging in corruption and all development works are blocked under his rule. He was addressing Working Committee members through an online system from the BJP’s central office in Delhi. Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda and National General Secretary Arun Singh were also present on the dais with him in Delhi.

JP Nadda said, “The previous BJP government led by Raghubar Das had “almost eliminated” naxlism, which has been resurrected under the Soren dispensation.”

He said the BJP lost the assembly elections in the mineral-rich state due to “political arithmetic” despite garnering the highest number of votes.

“The Hemant Soren government is steeped in corruption. No development is taking place under its watch. Corruption, Naxalism and crime are flourishing unbridled. This reflects the politics of appeasement,” he alleged.

He said, ‘Raghuvar Das Ji’s government had done very good work in the state. Served the public. When the Prime Minister had run the Kisan Samman Yojana, Raghubar Das made a provision of giving up to Rs 31,000 to the farmers for up to 5 acres of land under the Krishi Ashirwad Yojana. Jharkhand alone was the only state which had also made arrangements for giving second cylinder free of cost to the beneficiaries of the Ujjwala scheme.

JP Nadda also gave the task to party officials to strengthen BJP in the state. He directed the state BJP president Deepak Prakash to give every state official a district and every state executive member a mandal to strengthen the organization. He said these people should be tasked to go to the power centers and strengthen the organization. He said that the party workers should inform about the achievements of the Central Government to the people, tell them how the country is changing while making the public aware of the failures of the state government.

BJP President instructed to create a WhatsApp Group for every polling station in Jharkhand. He said that 200 people will be added from each WhatsApp group. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message should reach these people regularly. At the same time, the vision of changing the fate and picture of the country should also be revealed in the leadership of Modi Ji. He directed the state IT cell of the BJP to produce two content every month. Content should be about the role of BJP in the global or national scenario. The second content should be about the failures of the state government or local problems and the role of the BJP.

Nadda also tasked MPs and MLAs of Jharkhand to take the training of speech on new education policy. He said that MPs, MLAs and party’s state officials should take at least 10 minutes training on the new education policy. Nadda directed the state BJP to organize a workshop on new education policy. He said that the activists should go among the people and tell about the benefits of the Self Dependent India Package and the Poor Welfare Scheme.
