Ayodhya Bhoomi Poojan: PM Modi lands in temple town for foundation stone laying ceremony

As the temple town is all decked up, rising to the occasion of the foundation stone laying ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed in the city of Ayodha. This is a historic day for the country and it is a groundbreaking ceremony.

The ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi, or the birthplace of Lord Ram, will be attended by 175 people. This is an elite list comprising of seers and politicians with PM Narendra Modi topping the list.

Before taking part in the foundation stone laying ceremony of the temple in Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi will take part in ‘pooja’ and ‘darshan’ at Hanumangarhi. From there he will proceed to ‘Shree Ram Janmabhoomi’ where he will partake in pooja and darshan of ‘Bhagwan Shree Ramlala Virajman’.

PM Modi will unveil a plaque to mark the laying of the foundation stone after which he will release a commemorative postage stamp on ‘Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir.

Minister of Law and Justice, Ravi Shankar Prasad says that it is the beginning of a new chapter of Fundamental Rights in the country. He even tweeted a photo of the original document of the constitution of India which had a sketch of Lord Ram, Sita, and Laxman returning triumphantly to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana.

The whole city of Ayodhya is lit with earthen lamps ahead of the ceremony. Massive preparations had begun days ago for this much-awaited ceremony which the world is now glued to.

Even in Times Square in the US arrangements were made to display Lord Ram’s image in the neon-lit hoardings on the day of the foundation stone laying event.
